About BABSE
The National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) is the nation's premier non-profit organization devoted to furthering the academic success for the nation's children - particularly children of African descent. Now in its 51st year, NABSE boasts an outreach to more than 10,000 preeminent educators including teachers, administrators, superintendents as well as corporate and institutional members. Founded in 1970, NABSE is dedicated to improving both the educational experiences and accomplishments of African American youth through the development and use of instructional and motivational methods that increase levels of inspiration, attendance and overall achievement.
"LEVEL UP" LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
Calling all aspiring leaders interested in leveling up to their next career goal.
The Broward Alliance of Black School Educators (BABSE) is hosting a professional development opportunity to assist you in moving from
"From Paper to Performance: LEVEL UP" LEADERSHIP SUMMIT (Mentoring/Mock Interviews)! This impactful event will be held on Saturday, November 16th at Boyd Anderson High School, located at 3050 NW 41st St, Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33309. Attendees will receive resume writing tips, participate in live mock interviews (with feedback), hear about the assistant principal and principal interview process, and more! We have a packed agenda starting at 8:30am with Chat & Chew with SPECIAL GUESTS (2024 Broward Schools Caliber Award Winners), then our Leadership Summit from 9:30am-12:00pm. The Leadership Summit will have special leadership strands for everyone looking to level up in their careers! (School & District Administration, Educational Support, Teacher Leaders, etc.)
We are encouraging everyone to please bring an unwrapped gift (preferably for a Middle or High Schooler) to support our partners, Broward County Public School’s Homeless Education Assistance Resource Team (HEART) Annual Toy Drive. (BABSE has joined HEART to remove barriers that might prevent students experiencing homelessness from enrolling, attending and succeeding in school.)
